Unable to alter current listings

Gazza,
Could you please look at this problem. When I try to alter my listings without entering any MPN code I get this error.
I cannot do anymore work on my listings until this error is dealt with. Obviously a glitch with the software.

If you are using an MPN, a brand needs to be attached to the MPN. Click the OK button and the cursor will be placed into the Brand box for you to add one.

Aha i was wondering if i'd found an isolated glitch.
I dont use MPN numbers at all nor have i ever entered anything into the MPN box.
I've just gone to update an item's description (which is the only thing i edited), then clicked save and it tells me
"Small Problem You have added an MPN, we need the brand to go with this"
No, as above i havent touched the MPN field, all i did was edit the description.

Is it possible with all this business with google shopping that something has been tweaked code-wise and its had a domino effect and knocked something else over? Just a thought.

**Closing the item and creating a new one with all the same details works, but editing does not. I only had one to change so hopefully it will be fixed before i need to make any major changes. For those with lots of edits you'd be better hanging in there and waiting for a fix.**

Gazza, if you're tempted to give the same reply you gave before, just re-read the OP's post as i think you probably just scanned through it and missed what they were saying. I know you're a busy chap
