auction will not start even after i hit start auction?

i am trying to list a similar item to one i have listed already, but in a different quantity. when i click start aution, nothing happens?

If the title of the auction is identical, then it thinks you are trying to post the same auction and since it is already posted it does nothing. Change the title just a little and it should then go thru. Hope this helps.

If that was the problem the listing would be accepted and start as normal but then be deleted immediately (sometimes taking the original listing with it).

Do you get the preview screen or an error message? If you get the preview screen, what (if anything) happens in your status bar when you click 'begin auction'? If you get an error message what does it say?
