Thread: i am glad to see some competion in the online auction business

  1. #1

Thumbs up i am glad to see some competion in the online auction business

A friend of mine mentioned your company to me and i registered and upgraded a few days ago. I put up 11 auctions so far but i have thousands more items to list. Although i have not made my first sale yet i think yoiur concept is great. I am an ebay power seller and the fees there are driving many sellers to look for new avenues to sell in. On your site the only real risk is the time it takes to add the listings. I am sure that as ebid grows you will see a avilanch of new sellers and buyers to the site, i plan to list several thousand items as time allows and i will you the best oif luck. I am looking foward to my first sale on ebid.net, jeff burnstein, wowcollectibles522

Are you aware that you can import your eBay items using a combination of Turbo Lister and eBid's Ninja Lister?

    Welcome to eBid, Jeff

As Mel (Astral) mentioned, exporting listings from TurboLister and importing in to eBid's Ninja Lister makes for a swifter transition. It's certainly a process I used when I moved here from eBay. Best wishes for your sales ~ there's a lot of threads in the Forum which offer free advice and tips to help you get the most out of your Selling experience here.

    @Wowcollectiable

    Wow ! welcome to ebid!

I have noticed that many of your listings are Run until sold.
As you have joined as a Seller+ lifetime, you can if you wish make the BIN.
This means that they will rise up to the top of the ebid browsing lists and they will also get sent to Google Shopping.
(Its up to you of course)

Just the one type in your About Me page - good to see you are still goiung strong !

Welcome aboard - I wish you many sales.

As with Juliebabe's advice - you can vary the way you sell all your items. This means you will be able to attract all sorts of buyers - those who like auctions, those who like to buy it now.

Remember to have more than one photo of the items - especially as you can have up to five photos for free!

If you need any advice there is always some friendly ebider who will help you out here on the forums.

Welcome!! Glad to have you here!! My first impression was that I could barely read your About Me page.........the type is heavy and closely spaced...difficult for my old eyes.........Looks like Impact Font. Maybe try a different font, slightly bigger......................and not all caps.(That will start another discussion......but I stand by research that shows people can read upper and lower case more easily than just upper case.)

Happy SALES to you............until we meet again!!!!!
    Ta-Ta for now!

    Her Majesty

Yes you are dead right, I did sort of hint at their about me page with their typo but I did not want to give too much cristicsm in one post. Especially to such a good seller.

It is a well known fact and well accepted that all caps is hard to read.
And yes, Impact is even harder to read.

If any one come on and disagrees with you, I would ask them how many books have they read that use all caps ?
    Newspapers don't use all caps.

This was all worked out in the 15th century by the monks and Gothenberg, and modern research has not disputed it.
