Just wondering about my Selling?

Hello there, I know I am very very new here, 11 days to be exact. I was just wondering how long does it take here, before I get my first sale please?
I have 85 Auctions combined in my 2 stores here on eBid, but I have only received "views" but no sales as of yet!

Just wondering is eBid anything like DevilBay in terms of fast sales, or do I need to get a certain amount of feedback before they even acknowledge me on eBid, regardless of how many times I am on the forums?

Well…’’Feepay’’ has big fees too…
eBid don’t….so…you can’t have it both in same way…no big fees and ‘’fast’’ sales…....
You need in here to work for yourself in way of promotion your items and usual stuff which on ''Feepay'' you don't need much because YOU paying for that...So all is up to you....I wish you good luck for sales.......

Stick with it, be competitive and sales will build..... It took me a couple of months before I sold my first items.

I agree with previous posts also. It took me around 2mths max to make my first sale (having returned properly here in October last year) and they trickle through. If you ARE able to self-promote, then give it a go though be mindful of any expenses you may incur as people may or may not follow you. Try 'free' advertising first - word of mouth, email past customers etc.

So sounds like I will not sell until June 11 then (That'll be 2 months for me).

Which means the Picnic Chocolate Bar I got up for sale will be pass it's due date, which is Best Before 23 May 2011, which by the way I have 6 of them

LOL Just because 2 sellers took 2 months before they got their first buyers doesn't mean you will get yours at the exact length of time. It could take you 2 hours, 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 years or even 2 centuries. Everyone is different on the amount of work they put into promoting their eBid auctions.

And, of course, whether anyone wants what you are selling.

Agree with Dzambo, eBay has high fees and quick sales (for some), here it's slower paced (except at YDC time) but sales do come. It took me a month or so before I made my first sale, but since that time sales have been slow and steady.

Good luck and don't get discouraged, eBid is growing every day - my last 4 sales were to brand new members - so the word is getting out and good things are happening.

Things are slower here than over there, but if you don,t sell an item in seven days, its costing nothing to re- list. iIf you re-list a 100 times on here it cost nothing. How much would it cost over there. Plus they take 10% FVF. here its 3%
