I wouldn't dream of giving you any medical advice, but I would advise waiting until you see the consultant before trying anything yourself.

well mike has just gone and picked up my prescription and the amount of side effects i don't think I will be able to walk nevermind dance. they are called Gabapentin and I have to take one a day building up to three a day. I just took one so if I go off on one please tell me

I hope you start feeling better. My hubby has been down with a broken back twice. In 94 it was broken in two places, after a come-along cable broke and he fell backwards off a scaffold working metal construction. shattered his ankle and blew his knee out also. 2001 he broke it again (along with lots more) in a motorcycle accident, out of work 5 months, then light duty for 12 months. I would never offer you medical advise as all cases are different. Just be careful and favour your back until you see a specialist. I do remember he said that standing in the shower with hot water running on it felt real good and would take the edge off the pain for a while. Good Luck!

Buttons am so sorry about the result of the xray, Hope the painkillers will help you at least thank goodness the liver consultant had the sense to find out hopefully he will be able find someone to help you.as has bin said do you have to do anything different because of the back.

Hi Maple, I don't know what I am supposed to do as no-one has told me anything as yet, I am just being carefull not to do anything stupid at the moment like trying not to bend or lift and if it hurts stop sort of thing.
