    Whilst virtually all of this is all common sense, there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't pay to join a shipper. Some charge fees, some don't. Pay to join the shipper only if you think it will be worthwhile though.

    But don't pay until after you've seen their prices.

    EDIT: Actually, I've just read the post that I quoted again, and it isn't all common sense.

    There are good dropshippers and there are bad dropshippers (and there are middlemen who are the worst of all). There are plenty of good ones, definitely not few and far between. But it's up to you to do your research and find those good ones.

    Having just bought an item from a drop shipper I am very upset. There was no indication that this is what I was dealing with. Now what I thought I could get in the next week it appears I will be waiting for up to 3 weeks for delivery. If you are going to drop ship I think that should be up front in the descriptions or shipping information.

    I personally would not deal with a drop shipper when shopping for small items or necessary items. The customer service can be a nightmare.
