Made a change. Can you delete and resend any invoices that are problematic and let us know how you get on.

    Thx

Hi Gazza, Thanks for the quick amendment. Sorry, but as I have already marked it as paid it doesn’t give me the option to delete and reissue the invoice.

As an aside, the invoice copy I got as seller was correct and not the same as the buyer got or what you see when you do a “view invoice” both of which were wrong. As an enhancement it would be very useful if the seller’s copy of the invoice was identical to the buyer’s copy - if this was so I would have spotted the problem before my newby buyer did!

    Cheers,

    Tony

There may be problems with that where a buyer has a choice of shipping options as the invoice is not complete until they have selected the service they wish used.

I have never liked that, and think the method of shipping should be selected at the time of purchase - not on an invoice.

Just had a problem with Aus invoice. It didn't show the correct postage once it was sent. Buyer paid (wrong amount) so had to refund and I then send a request via paypal which he paid promptly. I was able to delete invoice and tried again. This time it is showing correct amount. Btw, I couldn't mark as paid till I sent the new invoice

I've just done exactly as you said, Gazza and the invoice was correct this time.

I would say to ignore the invoice on eBid until fixed and send an invoice from Paypal etc and simply tell the buyer that the eBid invoice system is currently broken.

I'm sending buyers an extra message stating the error is not my fault, it's down to eBid to fix it and whilst the fix is still being done / looked into I will send an invoice by paypal or email if they want to pay by cheque / postal order
I was the buyer on sucadot's items and we opted to have her send me an invoice via Paypal instead, which worked beautifully. In this case, we were both new sellers here and both fairly patient, but I worry about how it would look to a buyer if we have this problem in the future. I have to say, paying the invoice through Paypal was for more simple. It seems as if ebid takes you through several screen before linking to Paypal to actually log in and send the payment. Being new, I'm not sure if this is something I'm doing wrong or just the process through ebid. I've only had one sale, and not had to send an invoice, because my buyer paid right away, but I wonder if that's complicated if it would be better to set up an invoice template through Paypal. Does anyone do this instead of using the AAL invoice? Just curious.

All I was thinking was that the emailed invoice the buyers gets should be identical to the emailed invoice the seller gets. I have always clicked the check box to get a copy of the invoice so I could check it was correct on the mistaken belief that I would get an identical copy of the invoice the buyer receives.

    Good to hear.

Thx for the input on this and apologies for the slow reaction. Had a complete computer meltdown today and have been reinstalling everything on a spare yesterday.
