Agree with the above, IMHO name and color recognition are important. I personally like the present eBid color scheme, but that's just one member's opinion.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I have started to add some templates to my items....Some items have them one some dont as yet..
It takes a lot of time and its slow but I am adding a few a day.
Love the colour it adds to my listings..The only thing is the way they fit to the page they are quite long and you have to arrow down to read them & see all pics.

    Jewls :-)

The example I looked at had four pictures, I think. Since you can have five built-in for free, there's no need to use the self-hosted picture area in your template at all. This would save a lot of space.

I like the way ebid works. I think the boys have done a fine job. They just went through a major upgrade and I don't think another is warranted at this time. Some people just like to whine...

What's BLAND about BLACKCURRANT AND GREEN? You'd need to be colour blind to miss those!

I agree with the other posters - good descriptions and good pics of items should suffice, together with the colour scheme we already HAVE! And IF people want gaudy colours everywhere, use a template! Simples!!!!!

The color of the site has very little to do with sales. Price and interest have more to do with it than anything else. I use both standard and fancy in my listings. I think I sell more from simple listing because there isn't anything to distract the buyer from the merchandise. I started using it because I had paid for a year and wanted my monies worth. Probably not the smartsest reason.

I have a feeling if everything was changed to suit any one of us nothing else would get done.
