Some times we all have bad hair days, but we do not have to be mean or hateful to others on a public forum. just wondering how to tell some one they are having a bad day and maybe need go into the corner for a while.

There are times when you have to fire straight from the LIP! I totally agree with what you are saying though SherMari.
EDITED to amend your name! Sorry!

As far as I know, there is just no reason to be mean to someone in public. I quit my job once because my boss yelled at me in front of others and I had not even done anything so I quit and I also informed him that public humiliation is wrong and he needed some quiet time to think about his actions then I left in a hurry
Yep - no need for it. Many years ago I chewed one of my trainees out in front of some of his class. I was totally stressed but that was no excuse. I took him aside, apologised and told him my reasons. I then apologised to him again (not that he wanted a public apology) in front of the whole class. I felt that it was the least I could do. I'd never done anything like that before and I've never done it since, I'm very glad to say.

In cases like that its best to 'tell it as it is' - then ask the question 'do they practise at being mean or does it come naturally?'
In truth, there is no reason to be mean & hurtful to anyone - irrelevant of whether it's in real life or in a public forum. Life is way too short for things like that.
Friends come. Friends go.
But a good enemy can last you a lifetime.
I'm not very good at backing down from a fight, even though I dislike them intensely, so this is do as I say, not as I do...but maybe your energy would be better placed comforting the person who's been hurt, rather than taking on the one that's caused offence? It's also a good idea I often find to think about why the offender is snapping - they often have problems of their own. Unfortunately, that a) doesn't make the victim feel any better and b) doesn't always occur to me until after I've ripped their head off. Sigh.
