Unless you are a small child (like mine) you don't go to mcdonalds on purpose it is just there, as for the beers me myself would not go for ether of them but would chosse the beer on the taste and habit rather then a funny advert.
Tv adverts for web sites do not work can you yourself remember the last time you saw a tv advert for a web site and jumped up and ran to your pc to put in the web address it just does not happen.
There is not an ebid shop on the high street so they can't use that kind of always there advert like the above.

    ???? Wow.

At one time I ran a market stall, everyone knew the market but how many people knew I had a stall there
A lot of people knew the market and only come to browse and some buyers
So the marketers and the management come to a solution
The management wanted more stalls the marketers wanted more customers
None wanted to spend the money on national advertising
The management increased the rentals by 5% and all the extra money was used for national advertising
and it worked, More day traders (marketers) showed up and more buyers turned up

If ebid were to use a similar format say an increase of 1 - 2% on FVF it would help everyone

    Just a thought

It might be because whenever their advert music starts playing on the tv I automatically stop whatever I'm doing so I can watch the girls doing their exercises. ;-)

    Dare I mention........

To save everyone a lot of typing can we just duplicate this thread every six month instead of starting it all over again as has been done several times?

Saying adverts don't work for anybody just because you don't react to them is like someone saying eBid doesn't work for anyone because they can't personally sell their items on here.
Well Tony there is always one exeption to the rule
I'm not saying adverts don't work for anybody i am saying the product mention before do well with out TV adverts because they are already everywhere anyway and you don't need to react to them where as like you said you had to log on and look for the item you were looking for for ages and the website by the sound of it was specific to the item you were looking for would you have done the same just to browse?
