Can I register on one eBid site and sell on another?

Hi, this is my first post - I've heard about eBid years ago, but it's only after selling on another venue (you can probably guess which one) and getting a bit fed up with the poor customer service and interference, that I thought I'd pop in and give eBid a look.

I am shortly moving to France, so am assuming I will need to shift or re-register on the country specific eBid site. Is it possible to sell on eBid.co.uk if you are sending from overseas? Sorry, if this seems like a really basic question, but I couldn't find an answer in the FAQ, and as many of my items are really tailored for the UK, and not the French market, so I'd like to know if eBid is a possibility or not for me?

You will have to offer your items to the country you are registered in. After that you can choose where else you want to sell to

Thanks for the information. As I have 1000 items all with different descriptions in English, I think it would take forever and a day to translate them all. Am I allowed to list on eBid France with an English description, so that the items might also be offered to other markets across the globe (including the UK where I think my prime market lays)?

Most of the French listings are in English!

It's up to you what language you use. I am registered in the UK, have some German books for sale and I wrote the discription in German. I haven't had any complaints yet

I hope you don't mind but might I suggest that if you are not fluent in French it would be a very good idea to become familiar with the processes of selling and buying on eBid before you move to France?

Yes, you can write your auction descriptions in French or English when listing based in France (or even a bit of both languages as I try sometimes) but if you are registered in France you will find all the sellers' pages and information are in French. You can look at the information and help pages in English by changing to the uk site pages but you cannot change the listing instructions into English so you will need to know your way around them unless you are confident that you will be able to follow the instructions in French!

You must list in French and in euros to have your auctions accepted by Google Shopping France (although mine are still not appearing and it is months since the service started ) and you will not appear on Google shopping/products UK if you live in France. Your auctions will show in the Google "natural" search though if you list only in English.
