Thread: Newbie help!

I would ship to other countries if we didn't have such incompetent nincomp**ps ( ) at our local post office! They can't figure out how things work to ship to Canada even if I have the stuff pre-filled out, I'm not sure how it would work if I tried other countries!

For now once I figure out how to offer to Canada I'll do that since I have them 'trained' for that much at least. Is there a way to offer to just Canada for now?

Welcome to eBid, you items will be more visible if you list auction with 10 reposts and a buy it now. The Run Til Sold stays at the bottom of the page and does get so much attention. Pretty Necklace

I have a pretty good post office but it was still a hassel sometimes. I get around it by printing all my shipping through PayPal and then having them picked up at the house. Seems to work for me. You get all the forms you need when you print your shipping. I picked up a supply of the see through envelopes at the post office.

To ship to US and Canada, when you are setting up your listing, just go to the postage area, fill in what the US postage will be, the area below that is international. Click the ype of postage in the drop down box, then tick the box next to canada. simples!! (in case you don't get it, there's a funny meerkat ad here that always ends with the little guy saying simples!! and a little kissy click. (camera sound, I believe). Good luck!
    Ta-Ta for now!

Shipping anywhere else in the world is about the same as shipping to Canada. Different weight and size restrictions for different countries but other then that identical. It's pretty much knowing how you are shipping before you arrive at the post office. Whether it be First Class, Express or Priority mail there are basically 2 customs forms you have a choice of and if you fill them out on line you will only need to "drop your package" or have it picked up. The Post Office will give you the Custom's forms no charge. Since they aren't all that knowledgable about International shipping, in order to get them to give you the self adhesive see through pouches you must tell them it says on line to get them at your Post Office then they will give them to you. I deal with 4 different Post Offices and they are all about the same when it comes to International shipping...absolutely clueless. I am changing to filling out all paperwork and paying the postage on line like I do with UPS for Domestic. Everybody has a record of it and it's hassle free. It takes a couple to fill out before your comfortable with it but to be able to offer Worldwide shipping is the best.

Reposts and Buy Now aren't really related in this way. By having a Buy Now price items become visible on Google Shopping, but it's irrelevant to eBid's search order. Only the switch between RTS and timed listings with reposts achieves that. A wee bit of confusion there. It's X number of days, and X automatic reposts that you meant to recommend, I think.

I am a Newbie after leaving the other greedy site. I've started auctions here and everything has been OK except for one problem that I can't find a solution for. When I look at the 'Auctions I'm Running Page' I can't figure out how to get totals for the "views" I've received. Is it possible to edit the page or is there another page that I should be monitoring?
