Default How can you hope to keep new sellers on the site like this

I joined ebid 2 days ago and immediately paid for life time membership i have managed to list 3 items so far and have now had my account blocked by the support team as they want me to upload documents to them about our business, first off this is just crazy to block me with out even first asking me for the documents and allowing me a little time to send them before they block the account this just in alienates people well it does me, second i cant even send them the business documents they are asking for showing letters business premises and address ect, as i work from home as a coin dealer im a sole trader which means my business is just registered in my name as sole trader i don't get any bills in a business name, if this is a normal process that ebid does to new sellers surely they should of stated all this and asked me for any info they wanted before they took my money for membership, at the moment im very unhappy and feel like just saying to them to keep the £50 membership money and il just go back to ebay where im a power seller selling good quality coins where i turn over around 10k a month, this is most certainly not the way to treat new sellers or a way of keeping them on the site, i would appreciate any correspondence on this matter and if it is the normal practice to block new sellers and request such information,

A warm welcome ukcoins. Please don't be upset it is quite normal to have your account validated, I'm the same as you and work from home as do a lot of other business sellers here. All eBid want is some proof that a new seller is who they say they are. This is a good thing for everybody on the site, both buyers and sellers, as it keeps us all safe from scammers.

I don't know what they ask for these days but I'm sure a scan of a driving licence or utility bill with your name and address on will do. If you are still unsure then you can send an email to support@ebid.tv I used to be a power seller on the other side but moved back here in 2008 and I'm very pleased I did !

Good luck with your sales and hope you will be very happy here with us.

ID verification is asked from a few sellers in certain cases. Most commonly when attempting to list in certain categories or discrepancies with account details.

Being a sole trader is not a problem at all, the documentation we request does not require registered business names.

We aren't able to discuss individual cases on the forums, these should be addressed by opening a support ticket.

    Thx,

One of the things I love about eBid is the security factor.

Management do their utmost best to make sure this site stays clean of scammers but it is not 100% foolproof.

Occasionally some evil minded person gets through the net but it's not long before they are detected and ejected from eBid.

eBid.net listens to it's members and I appreciate everything they try to do to give us a positive and safe experience.

Dont worry it will get fixed. I joined with my paypal account and everything went well. I am starting to see major stores selling on ebay now. For 1 toys r us the major retail store that's gonna put a damper on toy sellers that get the newer toys.
