I want to move over from another site and start selling on here.My questions are ...Is paypal excepted as norm pay way ? ...can i redo invoices manually to deal with multi buy post discounts ? I will be selling low price stuff mainly and if I get the best selling package is it really free listing ,no fvf and list till sold ?

Hi and welcome to eBid.

To answer your questions, as best I'm able:

1) Yes, Paypal is used here if the seller chooses to add it as a payment method, also Google checkout, money order, check - whatever payment methods the seller is comfortable accepting.

2) You can discount for multiple purchases before you send an invoice, there are options for adding multiple items and for shipping/item discounts in the invoice.

3) Free standard listings (without thumbnails) are available to Seller+ members, however, many of us prefer to use gallery listings (2% FVF if item sells) as the cost is minimal and many potential buyers won't click on listings without thumbnails. There are no listing/relisting fees for Seller+ members, you can use an auction format or RUS (Run Until Sold) whichever you prefer and fixed price listings are uploaded to Google Shopping.

4) Sales are slower here than on some other sites, but I find them to be fairly regular - others may have different opinions depending on what they're selling - I sell mostly vintage jewelry and women's clothing.

You can also have 5 free pics per listing and upto 5 free shops.
Ebid is now in the top 3 sites in the UK and world wide and growing steadily.
But we don't have as many members as the top site.
Many members on here have good regular sales

as sue says sales are slower here, and as julie says some have goog regular sales.... my sales here are (at best) slow, but my other half sells quite well here, so it comes down to what you are selling....

Run til sold is IMO not the best way to list as your listings never move up to the top of the pile but you might find 7 days with 10 relists is the better way to go

agreed. For me its slower than ebay but I get a steady few sales. Inteerstingly of things that dont often sell so well on the other side.

I tend to prefer buying with Paypal for the security issue, and on here I tend to avoid run-until-sold listings if looking at things to buy, as some people list and then disappear... Though you can always PM the seller to make sure they are still active before you place a bid.

thank you all It likes everyone is happy and managing...ebay is very very slow at the mo also so I assume here wont be at its best, but it is growing in popularity and when things take a turn for the better ,this looks like a good option. Lots of plus's so thank you all again for tips and help
