Ultimately this is you business and you need to decide what matters. Here are a couple things to consider.
1: is there potential for more business though this buyer, because he will remember who worked with him and did not that’s why they have favorite sellers lists.
2: will a second did raise price enough to wait and chance loosing this buyer he can always retract bid.
    3. Remember its only business You have to do what’s right for you and your currant buyer if others wanted it they should have put bid on it

Thanks. I was afraid that ending the item might cancel the bidder's bid, so that is why I asked the question. As I said to someone else, e-bay does have a link that allows one to end the item and make the highest bidder the winner. I have used it sparingly, always to the benefit of the buyer, and I do always send a combined invoice. I never charge more for shipping than my actual cost, and at least once a month I give a refund to anyone paying more than shipping, as long as the difference is more that 25 cents. I am pretty good at calculating cost, since most of my business is in stamps and I can usually mail at least 12 stamps in their glassine envelopes and sales cards for the same price I can mail one.

Thanks, and have a wonderful day!
