Thread: Lifetime Membership Charge Error

    Default Lifetime Membership Charge Error

Hi, I'm new here and registered last over the weekend. I saw the $49.49 offer in the front page but when I signed up I was charged $74.99. Who can I contact about this?

    The promo does say:

*24hr offer from time of signup. Usually $74.99.

If you subscribed more than 24 hours after initially joining then you were outside the offer cut-off time.

If you want to plead your case then contact support: http://uk.ebid.net/contact.php

Though why did you proceed if the charge you were offered was not what you expected?

These lifetime offers etc do cause a bit of ill feeling.

    24 hours from when ?
    When did it finish ?
In the USA or the UK ?

    or try support@ebid.net

It clearly states that in offer details.

Sorry, didn't mean to post and run. I don't understand 24 hours from what? I saw that it was for the month of February. And now I see it is also available for the month of March. I went ahead and paid because I wanted to get started asap entering in the info and just figured I can contact admin later about it but then I could not find an email anywhere. Thanks for your responses. I will try the email noted.

It says from time of sign-up in the offer box. The duration of the offer is... indefinite, but the window during which you can apply for the special price is not. However, they're pretty decent blokes and might well allow you the discount even though you missed the timing. Doesn't hurt to ask!

OP is not the only one to be confused over subscription prices and, unless it is made a lot clearer, she won't be the last.

The 24 hour offer has a ring of the DFS sale about it.

I've never liked that aspect. I don't understand the need for it. I see that they're trying to instil a sense of urgency, but it's tacky and uncaleld for IMO. There's the rest of us telling people to do their homework and research the site before committing, and the offer is putting pressure on to do it NOW. Shame.

And, if you mess up, or your card isn't working because you are doing international juggling, then you pay the full price, while most people get the lower. I wish they would just say.......PAY XXX to join. If, at a later date they need to raise the price, so be it. Keep it simple. Gotta love Thoreau's 'Simplify, Simplify, Simplify.' "(If he had meant it, he would have only said it once!)"
    Ta-Ta for now!
