Can anyone on eBid see them from where they live? Just wondered...

I wish! My grandfather was in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers stationed in Alaska, building the Alcan highway, and he used to tell me stories about how beautiful they were. Of course I've never seen them myself, not even when I lived in upstate NY, (too far south for that), but I've told bf we need to visit Alaska one day (before Sarah Palin's buddies finish gutting it) so we can see them.

I'd also love to see a polar bear - from a distance, of course.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I knew I liked you, sues!!! lol. Lipstick comes to mind......................ahem. now then............ When I lived in MN for a couple years, we saw the Northern Lights - erie, spookie, gorgeous.....same feeling seeing Haley's comet, but more intense with the lights.........like you could almost hear them......amazing. I hope you do get to see them.

LOL! Thanks, Your Highness, it's nice to know I still get the royal nod after so many trips.

I hope I get to see them, too; unfortunately, bf would rather visit Hawaii, (where he was stationed in the Navy a million years ago), not that I have anything against the islands, but intense sunlight and this pasty face just don't mix.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

The reason I asked was that I read somewhere today (?yahoo news in an email sent to me) about some "storm" (?solar or whatever) that would result in UK being able to see Northern Lights both tonight and tomorrow - assuming we have clear skies.
Here it is cloudy tonight at mine (North West) so there is no chance.

Aw, that stinks. Maybe the clouds will clear out soon so you can see them - fingers, toes and eyeballs crossed.

If I have my way, I'm moving back North one day, with or without bf, maybe I'l get to see them then...

Best wishes for many sales to all,
