Well yesterday purchased a new computer but found that the disk drive did not work. Took it back and exchanged and got £40 Refund for my troubles.! Great customer service for a change.

When I got a new PC a few years back, I wanted to put my old HDD into it. PC World were charging £35 to do the job which I thought was fair enough. Left PC with technicians and was told I could collect at 6.00pm that night. When I went back it wasn't ready and was told to return next day. It was there and ready to collect - and nothing to pay! I was surprised but the Manager said it was because the technicians hadn't kept to the agreement, ie it should have been ready when they TOLD me it would. That got 10/10 from me!

I bought my last computer in New York, a lot cheaper than buying in UK or Taiwan.

And since it is an Acer, I have local service and warranty available in London.
