Thread: Sounds simple, but quite difficult

Default Sounds simple, but quite difficult

Last Friday, Jodie & Jessica was set a task for Girls Brigade.

To collect 1 of each coin from the year they were born (2001 & 2005)

found the 1p 2p & 20p quite easy, but gone through £300 of £1's, £200 of £2's 4 bags of 50ps and still not found one in the correct year.

Tomorrow is last chance, so after paying it all back in (been doing £100 at a time) am going to try £200 from PO again. (I pay it in different to one I take it out of)

That is surprising. Errr don't take offense but isn't it good they weren't assigned to find coins from their parents' years.

    1977 & 1979

Most of the current UK coins have changed in size since we were born, but we both have a "decimal coin set" from our year, so would have been easy for them. The only 2 that have stayed the same (I think) is the 1 p & 2 p

    I'm sorry that tomorrow is the last day. I have a 2001 £2, and a 2005 £1.
