And here's No. 80!
A while ago we were told that uploads to Google Shopping France would start "soon" and some time later when I enquired when this was to begin I was told they had already started (maybe I missed a vital announcement?) Perhaps this current thread reveals why my listings are "under review" by Google Shopping France! Even those with a title that means the same in French and English are not appearing - but then the description of the item is in English first followed by the equivalent in French. Maybe they are being rejected because the English listing uses the 250 characters???? Who knows?? However, I need to know....
I have asked numerous times in emails to support what my listings need in order to appear on Google shopping France and the latest news is that ALL my listings are "Under Review" and support say they are investigating ( same as they said a fortnight ago). I am trying to be patient. I have also repeatedly asked what I can do about the lack of available title space/characters to list in both French and English and the possibility of using a subtitle for bi-lingual listings but the issue has been studiously ignored in the responses - as it has on the forums where there has been no response to Gothicina's request re additional characters!
I am on the verge of giving up. The excitement about Google shopping being available to France has waned! I realise that at the moment I am probably the only one who cares and my fate holds little interest for forum members in the UK, USA, OZ, NZ etc but we are NEVER going to attract international sellers to eBid if they cannot be provided with correct and basic information relevant to their sales and listings. I can't understand what is going on - and I speak English as my first language! Dutch, French, Spanish, German, Italian etc speakers are not going to make a huge effort to understand in order to join eBid - and why should they?
