Default Concern re: Paypal dispute - any advice appreciated.

Just got a disturbing e mail from Paypal regarding items mailed out to a buyer on January 6th - apparently the buyer has opened a Paypal dispute claiming the items weren't received. According to USPS delivery confirmation, the items were delivered on January 8th.

I emailed the buyer with the USPS info. and offered a refund if they were dissatisfied with their purchases, but am unsure what can be done regarding the Paypal dispute and am worried Paypal will close my account on account of this miscommunication.

I've never had a problem like this before and any and all advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Oh and the buyer made another purchase and paid for it through Paypal - should I refund the buyer and not mail out the purchase, or mail it and take a chance on another Paypal dispute?

Thanks again and best wishes for many sales to all,

Refunded the buyer in full for all purchases including recent one and blackballed them so they don't come back. Hope I don't get negative fb for this, after this moron already left positives for the buyer.

Very depressing and makes me rethink selling altogether.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Well what ever you do on eBay it is wrong. The buyer can and most likely will leave a neg for the purchases they "did not receive". You can try contacting eBay and having the feedback removed but you know who well that works.

This didn't happen on eBay, it happened here on eBid - I don't use eBay and haven't since 2000.

Just sent an e mail to support with the relevant info., hope I did the right thing, may need to stop selling if this kind of thing continues, have been crying all morning, to an honest person it's very upsetting.

    Best wishes,

No need to cry. If this is your first dispute don't worry about it. If you have the delivered receipt, be sure PayPal knows they were fair with me when i had a dispute and sent them the tracking info showing item was received, I won that case with no problem. That was about 3 years ago.

Do I contact Paypal about this? I don't know how.

I think I am just very stupid and shouldn't be selling anywhere.

    Best wishes,

You are not stupid, go to your paypal home page and check on disputes there should be a place to respond to the buyer. If you printed your shipping label in PayPal you should be able to click on it an get the receipt information, just copy and paste that in the dispute answer and send to PayPal. It should then take on a couple of hours for them to respond. YOU ARE NOT STUPID how can you say that if this is your first PayPal dispute?

Posted to Paypal (in message section of dispute) that according to USPS items were received on 1/8. Also posted that I refunded the buyer in full, do I need to do anything else?

Seriously considering ending my auctions, as this individual can't deal with dishonesty, period.

    Best wishes,

Most people are honest hard working people. We just need to let the shoppers not take advantage of us and when something is delivered it is delivered. Please get some coffee, tea, Jack Daniels get away from the computer for 5 minutes and breathe deep and relax.
