I have some linseed oil putty that I have inherited for a craft project, I know it dries slowly, but does anyone have any suggestions to help make small things made with it, dry faster? (so far its on a sheet of stuff plastic, on a heater...)

If I remember rightly it's not necessarily heat that dries it,more contact with oxygen that polymerizes it.
(Okay,I googled that bit!)
If you add turps or white spirit at the outset it's supposed to speed up the process but I've never tried it.I did used to use meths for a smooth finish on windows & then cleaning the glass after.
