Default Im a New Seller+ Can I use Vendio? - HELP!!!

Hi - Can someone tell me if it's OK to use VENDIO on ebid? I am not going to use ebay/paypal as I have read many stories about how they treat their sellers and I was not impressed. I am a new seller and spoke with ebay about setting up an account and they in turn suggested VENDIO. After further review, we decided not to use ebay/paypal but want to use VENDIO. Will it work with ebid? All my products on ebid will only be available on ebid...NOT ebay.

I thought Vendio was a listing scheme, not a payment service.

Paypal is the best payment service to use.
Don't listed to those stories, they only apply to a very small percentage of users.
Papyal is now used by 75% of American online shoppers.

I haven't heard of Vendio so I'm afraid so couldn't comment. The other two intergrated payment systems on eBid are Pppay which isn't too popular at the moment and Google checkout which quite a few people use.
Moneybookers is another option that you can tick but it's not yet intergrated so you would have to sort out your own payments from your buyers. A lot of us would like the Moneybookers option intergrated here so I hope that is a possibility for the future.
Paypal remains the most popular option, although a bit pricey, as everybody is used to it so you might miss out on sales by not offering that option. I've used it for six years and haven't had any problems.
You can email support and ask about Vendio at support@ebid.tv Hope this helps and welcome to eBid.

    Hi,

Isn't Vendio a third party listing service like Auctiva?

I know that you can't use Auctiva and I'm guessing you can't use the other third party listers. I hope some day we will be able to.

But, if you are an eBid seller+ you already have many of the advantages that you would have with a 3rd party lister. I use Picassa to edit my pictures. It's super easy and it's free.

Thanks guys - I am going to use google checkout as it works for our other business and maybe we will use paypal. My intended use for Vendio was was going to be a picture hosting/listing service. They have nice templates and easy to use with good support as they are trying to be better than AUCTIVA. I saw another ebid seller using Vendio for pictures but when I clicked on her pictures it took me to her external VENDIO store and that in turn took me to her ebay listings which I know is wrong. That's why I was asking if Vendio will work for ebid. I will check with Vendio tomorrow and post their response. Meanwhile, I will checkout other SELLER+ stores to get ideas or maybe purchase a template for a store and a template for listings (I think)!!! - Want to get selling ASAP. - Happy New Year!

I don't think that Auctiva or Vendio will work with ebid as they need an API - which is some software that allows outside softtwaee to integrate with ebid.

Many people have asked Gazza to provide an API but so far to no avail.

Thanks JulieBabe - Your photo looks cheerful, your site & pics looks clean and professional and your feedback is excellent. I hope to follow your lead as we have 1000s of items to sell consisting of overstrocks, shelfpulls and closeout items. Maybe one day, a platform like Vendio will be OK'd to work in harmony with ebid and its sellers. For now, I think I am going to buy a template or make one in photoshop. Thanks again! - If you don't mind, please give me your thoughts once LimitedCloseouts goes live!

I use google and paypal they both work very well, I still have to print labels in paypal, I ship first class and I cannot print first class through post office. I have never had trouble with paypal and I have been using them for several years

Thanks SherMari for your advise. Your store looks professional and your pictures...WOW; what a camera! Excellent feedback too. I am setting up my 5 free stores now and hope to get my feedback at an impressive level like yours. Do ALL buyers leave feedback?
