Buying across Countries

I'm a newbie to e-bid and am presently in Greece, registered to the new 'Europe' site. I want to buy something from UK.e-bid, (UK is also in Europe, is it not?) but this is not allowed. I have an UK address but cannot see how to use this.

I tried to bid but it was not accepted.

I have posted this query on another thread, but this may be in the wrong place, so I've started a new thread.

*grin*, I said I was a newbie; both to eBid and to using Fora!!
I searched on the UK site before registering. this is the item I wanted to bid on - I have an UK address to send items to. Maybe I should have registered 'from' the UK? Can I be registered in two areas?? I haven't found an 'addresses' area, what would I do to send things to other people (presents etc), or to myself in the UK?

That's a well established seller. Can you use the ask a question at the bottom of the listing? Or you can communicate with her via the private message system on the forum. She is normally around, though as it is holiday time not so much and you will have to wait a bit

You can only register with your residential address, so you've done that right. You would need to ask the seller to ship to a different address - obviously it is best to do this before bidding/buying as you've realised. The seller of your item is a forum regular and known to be helpful, so I'd be surprised if you have any problems, but the notice at the top of the listing does explain that she's on Christmas & New Year hols at the moment and won't be working until 5th January, so I think it's just a matter of being patient and waiting till she's back.

The item might well be on "auto-repost" which means it will just start again immediately. If not, I'm sure the seller will help you out!

Dual-locations are tricky here - you'll definitely need to email support@ebid.net to help with account related stuff, that's something only they can deal with.
