Tell your buyer from the States that he will have to purchase an International Money Order at their bank. International Money Orders are not available at the US Post Office.

Agree with banrigh. I've tried to cash money orders from other countries and it's darn hard to do, even at my credit union where they know me. Make sure it's an International Money Order if your buyer is from the U.S..
Better yet, ask if they use Paypal, which converts currencies automatically - and if they use PP bank transfer you'll get your payment right away, no waiting for the P.O..
Congrats and best wishes for many sales to all,
It is possible to change US Postal Orders that are made out in dollars through auctionchex dot com
They are fairly reasonable with their charges but I am not sure whether its worth doing just for one postal order
My posts only state my own opinions, unless I've stolen them from someone else
I am in the US, I went to cash a money order from a customer, I was at the grocery store so decided to cash it there rather than going to my bank, they would not take it because they are easy to counterfeit. I took it to my bank and they checked it over really well, but I would prefer bank certified cashiers checks to money orders. Postal money orders are acceptable but only at banks.
You can cash USPS Postal money orders directly from the PO
thanks for all of your inputs ;-)
