Thread: website link to ebid store

Default website link to ebid store

    Hi there

i'm not quite sure that i have posted this in the right place, but i will repost if someone lets me know a better place!!

i have a couple of accounts on here SFHonline and skullsstores.

for SFHonline i have a .com website and also have .co.uk and a few other addresses (sorry for the pc illiterate wording!) which all take the visitor directly to my .com site.

i have skullsstores.com but do not want to pay hosting and just have a description of what i do and a link to ebid, i would like to be able to set it up so that if someone goes to the website they are automatically directed to my ebid store.

has anyone else done this or does anyone know if this is either possible or allowed?

and if it is possible can someone give me some advice on how to set it up please?

    many thanks in advance

In your website admin there should be an option for forwarding. If you put your eBid link in there it will (probably) open the eBid page in a frame.Which host are you with?

(Presumably the two accounts have been sanctioned by eBid.

I'm pretty sure that Magz (magnetsandhangers) has done the same thing.

    cheers for replying

i'm with domain express which i used to forward my sfhonline sites to my main sfhonline site, but i had to enter an address connected to my main sites host in order for it to work.

i was hoping there might be a very easy way of doing it!

I just checked out one of your listings.
    Is the postage correct?

    Hi Jan

    it is i'm afraid!

the book weighs 2,250g with absolutely no packaging and when i first listed it this was the cheapest option i found. if you google (or already have a link for) The Royal Mail price finder you can key in the weight with packaging of about 500g to ensure the book is full protected and see how much they charge us!!

obviously if i was able to post it cheaper then i would refund some money, but i feel it is better to offer it than to not

    Wow/Gulp/Choke

But I know what you mean.
Our Postal prices aren't much better/encouraging either, especially with all shipping prices (USPS - UPS - FedEx) going up YET AGAIN in January *sigh*.

Anyways, just thought I'd let you know in case it was a typo.

    Thanks

in fact it gets worse, just having a quick look i will be making a loss at the moment so i will need to put my US postage price up (but only by a very small amount)

except the total weight is 2,750g including the packaging which sadly from experience i know needs to be a quite heavy in order to protect the book (hence my personal copy has two badly dented corners where a postman dropped it!!!!!!!)
