A photo in the listing is VERY important. Does it open larger when clicked?
I do find it a bit disingenuous to add a fee on a "free" deal for something that is included on most sites.
2% is pretty low.

to make it clearer what we are talking about: do a search for car racing. I got the first 4 were free listings without the thumbnail picture, then some with thumbnail. They still have a photo, but you have to click on the listing to see it

If you go for the free listing then there will be no fee's, if you go for Gallery then you'll pay 2% FVF, if your selling something say for $100 then go for the feature you'll pay $1 and there are no fees

The $100 was just an example. If you have an expensive item it is probably better value to use the featured option which will cost you a flat fee and no final value fee

Surely you read ebid's terms when you signed up.
Every site has a different charging method.

Just because one site does something for free, it does not mean they all have to.
Here in NZ our Trademe site charges 55 cents for a Gallery picture, unless its a DVD, then its only 25 cents.
