Question What makes you BUY on eBid?

We're always being asked by new sellers what they need to do to sell on eBid. As sellers many of us give lots of advice, mostly good I think. But now I want you to put your buyers' heads on and think about it the other way around - maybe we'll get a new sense of perspective, maybe it will just confirm what we already know, but here goes...

Please try to think of 3 to 6 different things that make you buy from eBid (assuming you ever do). I'm not looking for why you choose one seller over another, or yet another round of "I would buy but don't because...", please? I'm looking for positive posts about what brings you and your money to spend here.

    I'll start with a few:

Site loyalty (I like eBid and like to buy here to support the site and my selling colleagues)
Seller loyalty (I tend to return to good sellers once I've had a successful experience buying)
Convenience (I'm here most of the time anyway, so it's simple to search here and I'm extremely familiar with the process).
    Price (when it's cheaper, it's a no-brainer)
Buddy points (a lesser force, but now the buddy auctions have improved I find I'm keener than before to accumulate points).

    How about you?

Oh dear, I feel like I'm cribbing at an exam

My reasons are exactly the same as Kimbo's, except I am not too bothered about Buddy points.

Definitely not concerned with Buddy Points.
Yes to site loyalty, obviously if the item is sold here. Referring to the older thread we deffo need an items wanted thread.
Definitely good service from a seller but always like to try someone new. Always look on plug your auctions and it's nice to give a new seller a start to get rid of the glasses.

Similar reasons as you, apart from the buddy points & convenience bit. I don't usually give buddy points a thought.

Yes, the plug thread's a good point - I do look at those. I've also been known to buy something cheap on impulse to help a newbie, but try not to make a habit of it!

What makes me buy on eBid:

Site loyalty - definitely - I always look here first! Seems logical that if, as a seller, I want eBid to do well then I should do my best to buy here too!
    Price.
    YDC auctions!
Closing auctions often catch my eye!

What will be making me buy on eBid? - Christmas!! (BIG Grin!)

Haven't given much thought to buddy points - but maybe I should now there are goodies available again.

To put a buyers hat on itsn't that difficult as it was only a month or so ago that I was on a 'spending spree'.

As I sell here it makes sense to buy here so 'site loyalty' is important.
I do tend to return to sellers that sell the products that I need / want to buy rather than buy the same product from a different seller so 'seller loyalty' would be at the top too. Although I do buy from other sellers & newbies when they have something that catches my eye.
Price is important and most of the time the sort of things that I buy are cheaper here and some times unique to the site.
This one isn't important but it is something that I do come accross from most sellers - a freebie sample or product by way of a thank you.

I tend to find eBid sellers very friendly to buy from, very communicative and keep me as a buyer informed right through the process. I always get a 'thank you' from sellers here - which is nice. In a way, buying from eBid is a bit like buying from the corner shop - very homely, friendly, and relaxed - the customer comes first - the nothing is too much trouble mind set.

I'm sure there are more reasons, but for the minute I can't think of them - I may be back when I do

I have not been on Ebid long and have not made a purchase as of yet but when I am buying online I look for sellers who have a variety of products to offer. It is more cost efficient to be able to buy multiple items to save on the shipping. Even if I am looking for a "specialty" item it is also nice to be able to , now these are just off the top of my head examples, also buy a book or a bookmark, bottle of lotion, a trinket, etc. Not to mention if I am looking for gifts and can buy several in one stop, I have also saved time as well as money!
