Well I'm much happier today than I was yesterday that's for sure.

It's still advantage Australia with the limpet-like Hussey being a complete tart but to have them at 220/5 from 78/0 represents a decent effort.

I'll be getting high on Haribo, Pro Plus, Red Bull and Colombian finest (coffee of course!) later on in order to watch throughout the night..

We asked 100 people: "Which cricketing nation is likely to be celebrating victory by Monday?"

    You said: "England"..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_FmADVggCk

Pretty grim viewing today but credit to Hussey and Haddin for a magical partnership. We've 'just' got to dig deep, show some character and bat for a day and a half in order to salvage a draw.

    Back to bed...*sigh*

I'm really starting to go off Hussey.

Wow! Strauss, Cook and Trott take a bow

England were as dominant today as Australia were yesterday. Neither side deserves to lose this test and a draw now seems to be the most likely outcome:

Well! Just catching up... you can't say the boys haven't fought back, eh? Good stuff.

Superb stuff by England. Whatever the state of the pitch to exceed 500 runs for the loss of only 1 wicket is an astonishing achievement. Cook's innings was pure genius but he was superbly supported by Trott (and Strauss yesterday). Onwards and upwards to Adelaide on Friday...

I'll lay this thread low for a few days as I know not everyone likes (freaking) cricket:

Well done England, if the openers can carry that form onto Adelaide we could be in for a great victory.

I would have liked to have seen Strauss take a gamble and declare earlier, I still think Swann could've spun em out.

The great thing about going to a cricket match is that you don't have to watch the cricket.
Better to stay at home and watch it on TV if you are interested in the match.

Not having Sky Sports I listen to it on the radio, the test match special crew are a great laugh.
