Default Custom start time not working in edit mode.

I seem to be unearthing all sorts of problems today

I am trying to edit an auction from "auctions i'm running"

I'm making lots of changes - top level cat, my own store cat, adding links etc.etc.
& one of the main changes is the start / end / run time (it's a YDC auction)

using the "custom" start time (which i'm fairly familiar with lol), seems to work ok

but when I preview the changes, the start time / date has been completely ignored!

Am I missing something blazingly obvious? Or is this function caphut?

You can't set the start time on a running auction, it's already running. You'd have to stop it so you could tell it when to start.

So, really, those options should be disabled on the edit screen.

Might be helpful. Then we could have lots of questions about why they were greyed out instead. ;o)

Which takes me straight back to the original problem re: not being able to change the top level category on a closed auction!

Didn't Jewels say, elsewhere, that you can edit a live listing to change the top level category?

If so change it before you close it and then repost to change the start time, etc,

Yes, a bit of faffing about but seems the only option until the ability to do all at once becomes available (if ever).
