Default Ability to change the top level category please.

    As per the thread title.......

I have several auctions running that i'm quite happy to "gift" to this month's YDC.

But, there's absolutely no way to close / move them from their present category, to the YDC category.

Yes, I know that I can re-list them from scratch, but that involves searching for the photo's, both on site & on photobucket! (*le sigh* I haven't got either the time or the inclination)

There must be umpteen ocassions where auctions "fit" more than one top level cat.
eg. seller lists in category "x".......not may views / sales, so close the auction & re-post in category "y" instead.

Maybe I can't see the wood for the trees.....

But it really would be a useful function to have.

Stop 'em and repost. And I've already got this request in, so I quite agree.

p.s. though the search system on the forum has defeated me yet again, and I can't find my original request, so definitely well done for raising it again!!

You can change top level categories using the 'edit' button when viewing live listings in the 'auctions I'm running' view.

I agree it would be handy to be able to change categories when relisting closed items, as well.

Sorry, I got my story a bit muddled there, in a hurry to get out the door! Now I'm back, yes repost *then* edit is how I do it, because you can't do it at repost time. And the improvement to repost is actually what I asked for before. I was close but no cigar!!
