Harry H Corbett who played harold was a classical actor,he always said he didn't play the part for laughs and was suprised by the audience who found the plays comical. Wilfred Brambell was by all accounts a rather obnoxious little man and in contrast to the character he played allways smartyly dressed.The anger between them in the plays was reflected in real life as they despised each other.
