Default How much is a small bottle of beer in the UK and the USA please ?

Hi guys, just doing a bit of pricing research and as I am in New Zealand I was wondering how much a small bottle of beer was in a pub or bar in the UK and the USA in American dollars and UK pounds.

Not a premium beer, like Heineken, just a standard good quality beer. Here in New Zealand we call them stubbies.

Anything from 1 to 2 pounds down our way in a pub

You can buy unbranded "stubbies" in stores for under 30p each in 8 packs. OK for a BBQ but give me a Hobgoblin or HSB any time!

It's difficult to give an accurate figure as prices vary so much in the UK depending upon location, day of week, pub or club, season etc.

I've paid anywhere between £1-£6 for a bottle of beer (or lager) in a licensed premises. I'd normally expect to pay £1.50-£2.50 per bottle for a decent-ish beer/lager but that could stretch to anything beyond £5+ in some clubs, in London pubs and/or in a hotel bar for example.

What bb said, a bit more in some places (especially in NY) and a bit less in others, (this area for example). But then we do have a lot of thirsty GIs around...

Tobacco is cheaper here, too, (grown in-state), which is a good thing for some of us.

    Best wishes for many sales,

Here in New Zealand, they used to sell it in quart bottles and even bigger flagons as they called them.
    We were so unsophisticated then.
