Lightbulb Title page - seeing bids placed

As a user of ebay and now ebid - it would be useful when looking for items to see the bids that have actually been placed without actually having to go into the item. It give bidder confidence to know how many items are being bid upon. I cant yet see there are many book items selling on ebid....

Also when searching to see what sells and wha dooesnt it would be good to see history upto 6 months on sold items.

    Thanks

    Your poll is meaningless.

For a poll to make any kind of sense the options have to be statements, not questions. It would also help if you did a cursory search of the forums before adding new topics that parrot
    (badly) current discussions.

However, I will answer your questions.

    # Do you sell and want to sell more? Yes, I sell. Yes, I want to sell more but I doubt you would get any businesses, anywhere, saying they *don't* want to sell more. This is why I don't want eBid to replace the bid column right now. Had you done said cursory search of the forums you would have discovered that management bowed to pressure and showed bids last year. They removed the bid column when sales went DOWN. Since then, sales have been on the increase again.

    # Do you buy but dont knonw if sellers will list more due to items not selling here? Yes, I buy. The second part of that question doesn't make sense - items *do* sell here.

    # Would it give you confidence to see people placing bids even if youre not nuying that item? No, bidding activity tells me nothing about the integrity of the seller. Feedback gives me confidence in a seller or, in the case of new sellers, well presented listings with well defined terms and conditions that are in line with the relevant legislation and an informative 'all about' page.

    # Do you search to see what items sell? Yes, I occasionally have a nosey at closed items but I wouldn't want the databases clogged up with 6 months of archived material.
