    Default Dog & chocolate

Ok our staffy has just helped himself to 3/4 of a tin of quality street. I know chocolate is dangerous for dogs, ive offered him salt water to help him puke it up but he is refusing to drink it, anyone got any other ideas, Otherwise he will be in his cage over night & whatever happens in there whilst we are in bed stays in there till the morning lol

Chocolate is like a poison with dogs. He is insured but no money in bank & our local vets (all of them) wont take the dog in without prior payment, apparently they dont deal direct with insurers

The bottom one suggests hydrogen peroxide. If it's something that effervesces it should do the same thing though, maybe bicarbonate of soda/baking powder. If you can't force it by spoon, how about a syringe?

Well we have just given him bowls of water, and watered dog biscuits along with a loaf of bread he is now struggling to eat any more. Gawd knows what to do ask your sister if you can tonight whats best way to sort him out.

you can also get the dog to vomit with mixture of hydrogen poroxide and water (half and half) you can use a syring or a turkey baster to get it down the dogs throat. do whatever you can to make him vomit
