The reserve price field should be set to the same value as the starting price field if you have no reserve.

I would doubt that you could use Bulk Edit to effect such a change as you would not be doing a 'change this to that' on every listing (unless the price is the same on them all). I can't think of a way to remove reserves except individually using any of eBid's tools. The only way I could think to attempt is to export your listings and run a macro in a spreadsheet program to make all the values in the reserve column's cells match those in the starting price's.

Maybe someone else has a better idea?

Perhaps we should have a default on the listing form that no reserve is already ticked, and you have to take action to have a reserve.
That could add up to a lot of bother saved ticking the no reserve box.

That's what your My Defaults is for, surely.

good afternoon folks , just trying to get the grey matter working...like a lot of others on here , I do not use a reserve...but ..this is an auction site , and at an auction , you would expect to bid for an item , unless you were lucky and no one else wanted the same thing...yes start at a realistic figure if you just want to sell it ( with the hope of a few bids )....but , is it not possible , if more items were put on at a low price and with a reserve , we might get some buyers to bid ???....this is one of those listings that will keep returning and keep getting the same yes and no replies.....I do not know the answer , but I would say .... never write off the reserve....even if it is just to test the water.......papa.

    thanks MEL

What it does is ask you for a reserve price, but once you've entered your bid price (at the lowest you'll be happy with), and ticked the no reserve box, it should put the bid price into the reserve box. Most people put the bid price a bit lower than their Buy it Now price eg BIN price £4.00, Bid price no reserve £3.50.

    Hope that helps.

Hi, all! Im new here, but have been reading through the forums to become informed before i begin selling. (im ANOTHER refugee from "the other place") I have to agree with papagran40. When i first started checking out eBid, i was put off by the higher start prices. I think that maybe (and im no expert on this) if more started their auctions low with reserves, then maybe those who are used to the low starts @ "the other place" will stick around. Folks are lookin for a bargain! Just a thought...
My other thought...Im so excited to be here and am so looking forward to getting started!!
