Plus, I am not sure what is being bumped as the original topic is 2 years old and pre-dates the site revamp when the handling of the Holiday Notice was changed.

It's one of a number of threads I bumped the other day to show that improvements to the notice system were much in demand. Gazza's agreed to do this elsewhere. I don't know why this particular thread is now being boosted further though. Possibly a small case of mistaken identity?

I have been closing all my listings when I go away, and activating them when I come back.
Amazon has a vacation button which enables me to put everything on hold which is easier.
On Eb?? the trouble is knowing how long in advance to close listings because if all listings close 7 days before I go away, there will always be a joker who pays 9 days late, and they do not appreciate that at that stage the choice is wait 3 weeks until I get back, or post immediately from Thailand (as I thoughtfully took their item with me), from which airmail takes only 21 days.
