Post There never seems to be a huge number of people on here.

There seems to be less people on here these days but could be just the time im on.

I think we should try to get as many people on here at once as we can to break the march 2008 record because it would be nice to see that record broken.

    Thanks
    RCS

With sales picking up a bit people probably have less time (and less need) for the forums. It's becoming more of a genuine support venue and less of a chat-stop, I think.

Records are just that, nice! But sales now they are what eBid is about and those are growing all the time. I'm fully expecting sales over this weekend. I have had sales in the first week of the month every month for AGES now. It's the pay cheque effect!

#3 Thats good im looking at just a couple of sales a month. i can only speak for my self but there little i can do to get people interested in ebid. sad thing is i can offer things cheaper here than on feebay but people arnt quick to jump from feebay because its the norm. they are happy to use feebay and pay more money for stuff than buy from here. i think its slowly been happening over the last year but its slow.

#2 You could be right, i think sales are picking up but not by much.

Oh, RCS, if you are doing 2 sales a month with less than 100 listings, then you are doing well - list and list and list!

Same problem here... picking up one or two sales, but it ought to be much better. How do I know it should be better ? Because every so often I shift stuff that hasn't been moving here onto the other site [usually when they have a free listings day] and its snapped up, usually for more than its on offer for here...for example, item that was ignored for a couple of months @ 99p here going for over a tenner. This is not an isolated case, either. About 95% of my sales are from "over there" - it keeps me going, hell, it payed for my lifetime subscription here ! But I'd really prefer eBid to be benefiting from my sales.

I've neglected my bookshop of late.

So I've been busy doing a complete overhaul and relisting like crazy.

(I'd like to thank Blue beduin for his imput about HTML)

I still got loads and loads still to do!

But I bet I start selling books again soon!

I'm gonna be lean an mean! GRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I agree with this, as I simply don't have the time to talk as much as I did in my first 18 months as listing and processing orders take most of my time now on line, then I have 3 kids and a hubby to be. I wish there was more hours in a day or more days in a year

Exactly. Between adding listings and handling sales, and still trying to have a life, I don't have much free time. I do still stop in each morning to take care of business, and then check out the forums, but sometimes that's it for the day.
