"The Talisman Ring" by Georgette Heyer - her earliest books, 1st published in the early 1930s, are by far her best.

I am just about to start reading The Man In The White Suit (The Stig) by Ben Collins
Re-reading Anne McCaffrey's "Dragons of Pern" novels [love them]
Dragonflight, Dragonquest, Dragonsinger, Dragondrums, All the Weyrs of Pern, The White Dragon, Dragonsdawn .................. still may to go and her son, Todd is adding to the series.
Just finished Royal Flush by Linda La Plante. That lady has one devious mind!
I've also been reading a lot of Karen Rose books so, now that I'm finished Royal Flush, I hope hubby's finished with the KR. She's another deep one, like Karin Slaughter. How the heck these lassies come up with some of their nastier plots, I don't know. And for those who haven't read these latter authors, when I say nasty, I MEAN nasty!

That's why I tend not to read them (wonder if I will brave my YDC purchase)
.. re-reading 'Troika' by Colin Pascoe - excellent, intriguing, entertaining - would recommend it highly...
