I ran into that a few weeks ago, a woman bought something with "shipping not known" so I sent her an email with postage prices, offered to send an invoice if she would let me know which shipping method she wanted. Didn't hear back from her for more than a week so I figured she did not want the item. She contacted me 4 days ago to see if it was still for sale, I relisted it with 3 shipping options and she made her purchase last night.

    Very unproffesional lol !

Shipping should be known - get your 2010 shipping price list from the Post Office.
    Otherwise look online.

One option would be to remove the "Not Known" option when listing items.
This would make sure sellers fill in the shipping amounts. What does everyone think?

There is the argument that a buyer should wait for in invoice if this is the case. The buying process must be a logical flow with no speed bumps along the way. Stopping buyers paying until an invoice has been sent when "Not Known" has been set as a shipping option is a big speed bump and will cause confusion and many buyers contacting us and speaking on the forums saying they are unable to pay and that eBid needs to be more user friendly.

I think sellers should fill in a shipping amount. If they aren't sure, they could say so, and offer to refund excess over the actual (if they wanted to)........or just have a flat shipping that the buyer could take or leave.....
    Ta-Ta for now!

Jean save this site to your favourites then just stick your item in a box and weigh it when you write the ad. Just allow a few grams more for the packing materials. If I estimate a bit over the price then I give my customer a refund of the difference.
