I have used it in the past, only on certain items - obviously not here.

    Could be a useful option.

I have no idea why you've got upset at my question, but if you've read something into that is somehow rude (no idea what, but hey) then I'm sorry about that! But at the moment I'm utterly mystified.
i think the point Burgyeb is making with "instant payment reqiured" is your obliged to ship and if the buyer is unavailable and cant/wont confirm a address it could raise problems for both parties

    Red face

Well...Good morning everybody...here we go again...I just like to see this ''options'' in here ''"Seller requires immediate Payment’’ and if any Seller like to use it before finish own listing for any item use it, likes a sample shipping International ''no thanks'' or ''Chose International shipping''... ''Seller requires immediate Payment’’ just fill out and for any Seller if don't like this option don't use it....And If the buyer wanted to make multiple purchases, Ask Questions About This Auction...So Seller can answer for that Cleary and shipping discount for multiple purchase...simple as that...I personally don't use but as can I see many Buyers complain around for non paying Buyers, so this is going to help similar Sellers in here and is going to ''KEEP'' him in here and is not going to spread word about this site for this stuff or that stuff no good...we must to give many options for the Sellers in here because day to day many Sellers leave ''feebay'' and go around desperate to find any auction site to run Business, so if any auctions site don't give help and many options for like this Sellers many is going to back on ''feebay'' again and that's not good...In the end if any Seller don't like this option don't use it, if like use it....I mean this options must exist on the page for the payment likes I accept Pay Pal or money order, or cash etc....so click on the box ''yes'' or ''no'' and that's all...

Surely you're always obliged to ship if they've paid, whether it was instant or not?

Tis the point I was making. Ebid support gave recommendation "not to ship until buyer confirms correct shipping details". I suspect eBid has final say as to proper procedure.

IMO they don't, they are the venue and should only deal with things that happen here.

If I get payment to un-matching addresses, I simply email the customer and await reply, if no reply after 7 days I refund full amount back via the payment source

Sellers have the final say as to when and where to ship

agreed but that was Burgyebs point whitch is valid

happened to me last week buyer bought item paid instantly, paypal address was different to ebid reg address [neither was a confirmed PP address] i emailed the buyer after 20 mins to point this out and whitch address you they like me to post too, no responce, so i emailed 2 hours later saying i would post to there ebid addy unless i heard different from them, no responce,

next day i left posting to the last min still no word from buyer so i posted, it was not untill that evening that the buyer got back to me because of the email sent by ebid confirming posting yes they wanted it sent to PP addy so i pointed out to them i gave them 24hrs to respond there PP addy was unconfirmed so i posted S/F to there ebid addy they did recive the item the next day,

but it could of gone very wrong if the buyer had had a confirmed PP addy then there could be no room for any misunderstandings by both parties

Why is everything made so complicated on eBid

"Buyer requires immediate Payment" is a simple idea that works well for some sellers so let them that want to have it use it. If you don't want to use it then don't.

Thanks Rainy. You answered one of my unanswered questions to support.......[how long should I wait for buyer to answer?]
I had considered the refund option...............sounds like an ok option.
