Following on from a post I made down there (waves hands about a bit) I've been thinking about how much people's sense of humour varies, even amongst folk with similar interests and tastes. So it would be interesting to get a snap shot of what makes some of us laugh - and what doesn't!
I'll kick off (only fair!) and say I love Father Ted and the IT Crowd (same writer) and my favourite all time sitcoms are Dads' Army and Porridge. QI and Mock the Week make me laugh too. Can't stand The Catherine Tate Show, and sat through one whole episode of Outnumbered without a smile, while people I love and respect fell about laughing. I think you might have to be a parent to get that one. ;o)
I like geeky jokes like this one: How does an elephant get down from a tree? Traditionally, via gravity, at an acceleration of 9.81 metres per second (squared). But also Viz and The Fat Slags. I love Dilbert, and Calvin & Hobbes.
What makes you laugh?
