    I sell mainly small items but stopped sending printed invoices with goods when the post office introduced PIP. Most of my packages just squeeze in to the large letter category; if I added an invoice I'd need to increase my postage costs because most envelopes would be too thick and would have to go as a small packet instead.

    I don't print the invoice. instead I copy and paste the eBid ID number and the title of each item into my own preformatted packing slip and print that. I do need a printed packing list to make sure I don't overlook an item on large orders. I send the same copy, complete with tick marks, in the package.

    I think a packing slip from eBid would be shorter and more useful than using the invoice (especially if they included the SKU).

    I stopped using the stick-labels when a clerk at the Post Office told me they sometimes come loose. He recommended that I tape them on securely.

    I decided if I had to tape the label on anyway, there was no point in spending money on the commercial ones. I started using plain white paper. I print it by hand and tape it on. If I make a mistake, it's no problem, it hasn't been taped to the package yet. I can make a big label for a big package, and a small one for a letter. It's also much easier with the very long addresses that takes five or six lines to be readable. Some of them would never fit on a pregummed label. The human hand is still the most versatile tool around for a lot of tasks.

    I realize a printed address label looks more professional, hand printed look personal. I even use real postage stamps whenever possible, which certainly is not "professional." It's been years since I received anything from a large company that had real stamps (as opposed to prestamped envelopes, postage printed by PayPal or the Post Office, or those little "bulk rate" squares).

    I print all my labels - and use 21 labels on a4 page.
    Get the free software from here ..... http://www.avery.co.uk/avery/en_gb/Home
    (Designpro 5 lite), and just copy and paste them in.

    Works a treat - i also print all my envelopes with that.
    All my labels and and envelopes all have my banner on them using that.
