Probably done you a favour. I switched to Firefox after I was having some troubles with IE. Took a little while to get used to something new but I find is far superior browser. I'm sure it is only user inertia that keeps IE alive.

I had used IE for other things that were in my favorites with no problem, but when I tried to go to Google Checkout it gave me a step by step guide to fix my problem before letting me log in. Cookies were disabled but I don't know how or why that happened.
Thought you might be interested in the solution just in case anyone should ask.
