I've been a member for years, but never really got round to making anything of it.
I recently took the plunge and opted to try and put thousands of items, from suppliers on here.
This has been made infinitely better by having a spreadsheet I can simply import and edit in....and then upload (albeit with varying degrees of success - which is not the fault of this system).
I'm not sure eBay has such a feature does it?
Whilst I agree that the footfall through this site is much less, the number of listings is less, and I believe that they cancel each other out, and if you do the leg work there should be no reason for not-selling.
For the same reason I prefer to visit my local one-man-band DIY shop instead of lugging my arse all the way to B&Q. I'm sure he makes enough money and the service is better.
So , thanks for the spredsheet who's ever bloody brilliant idea that was! My only criticism is that it's deleting auctions that have the same title - but they aren't the same - grrrrrr!
The eBid policy of no listing fees has not only saved me a lot of money but also means I don't have to spend £100s on a e-commerce website. So whilst there are those that may have doubts and complaints about not selling, then either have patience and do your own marketing or lumber the fees you have to pay for the privelege of eBay
