Thread: Issues with Bulk Uploading

    Default Issues with Bulk Uploading

    Hello All!

    I have tried to follow the steps with the Bulk Uploader the eBid offers. I have tried to save my file as a tab delimited .txt and also .tsv; which I am not 100% sure on how to save it as. I have used both the Microsoft Office Excel method and the Open Office Calc method; still with no prevail. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, though I receive a message from eBid that "The file type you are using is not recognised. Please upload in TAB delimited format." If anyone can help please do. I really need to have these products uploaded soon.

    I've just been helping somebody else with a similar problem off the forums - I think you've done the same thing and removed the ##end## from the final column (V if I recall correctly). Go back to the original downloaded spreadsheet before you edited and look at that column, you'll see it says that content has to stay there. Without that record trailer your file is not recognised as being in the right format.

    @Kimbo

    Thanks very much, I added the ##end## after each auction, and I noticed I needed to add a duration. Though there were some unneeded steps that I had to do by changing the extension, since I am not sure how to create a .tsv file. eBid really needs to allow .csv files... it would really save on time... :-) thanks again!

    You should just be able to save as "tab delimited txt file" straight from excel and use that.
