I was referring to my 'grey area' type listing I've explained elsewhere, not the idea of someone offering to pay more than BuyNow price

no you were not... you quoted my post #26 which clearly shows I was replying to craig's post #25 not to your "grey area" post

Just saying that I think having a Best Offer option would be great as well.

I would love to see it offered! The majority of my sales are from "best offers" or OBO listings! If you set the auction as the lowest price you will take with a buy it now, there really is no negotiating. Buyers feel like they are getting a better deal when they are able to make an offer on an item. If the offer is too low for the seller then there is still room for negotiating to an agreement, the buyer feels more like the seller actually cared enough to respond and try to work with them on a price that is fair & reasonable to both the buyer and the seller alike. It is a comfort to a buyer.

    Default Making An Offer

I am "really" a new member. I am a Seller but I will also bid/buy ... I think the "Make An Offer" is a great idea, but use it on the BUY NOW Listings (Instead of the Auction listing).
