Postage payments being wrongly made by buyers

I have a load of listings, all showing postage at £1.30. I usually send a paypal money request to my buyers, however recently I've had 4 buyers over the space of the past 6 weeks who have all bought via buy it now, and every one of them has sent my payment through with postage marked as being 50p. Has anyone else had any problems with this? I find I'm having to return their payments, explain their error and ask for them to pay again, as if I just ask for the additional money Paypal take another charge from me.

Sounds to me as though you have a paypal setting over riding things

It was introduced by PayPal, very much on the quiet, quite some time back. It seems to affect some accounts but not others.

I never noticed a problem while selling on eBay but did as soon as I started selling here - and it took me some time to track down the cause. I think the eBay/PayPal incestuous relationship hides the problem caused by the box not being ticked.

wow, I had NO idea on that - Paypal kept that one very quiet!! I had never had a problem before because I always sent invoices to my buyers, but recently a few have taken to sending the payment immediately, and that's when the problem arose. I've now ticked the box, and hopefully got it sorted. Thanks so much
