Default What are your best ideas for simplifying your life?

I think it was Thoreau who said "Simplify, simplify, simplify." Probably a good idea for a lot of us (me for sure!) I liked one person's response which was to the effect of "If he had meant it, he would only have said 'simplify' once.'

Later in life, Georgia O'Keffe only wore black clothes. I don't buy anything that needs to be ironed. I bet you all have some great ideas, and I would truly love to read them..........thanks! Simplicity is good.
    Ta-Ta for now!

I also avoid buying clothes that need ironing....I go a step further than that and have stopped ironing altogether. I haven't ironed anything for at least 10 years.

I never make appointments which clash with my day off work stuff...so Wednesday is free for family stuff and catching up with home based stuff that isn't work related.

I don't do Christmas and birthdays...that helps other people simply their lives too, since they are saved buying me prezzies.

The simplest way to simplify is simply to to stop stressing over stuff like whether or not you need to simplify. ;o)

Not the point. (o: I'm sure there are lots of simple pleasures that you indulge in that I've never tried, and don't wish to. ;o)

I don't mow my lawn... I have geese for that. I do much less weeding, I got chickens - they can do it. Oh and they eat the insects too.

Why didn't he just say 'Simplify'? - it would have been a lot simpler
