These various ideas probably won't make the difference between somebody's budget survival or not, but there is the value obtained from the fun and, OK, self-satisfaction or pride in living without spending money in random small areas. It's a subtle longterm game. I consider it harmless and usually cheap.

4 small ones that hadn't burned completely gave me 8 wax melts, which cost about 50p each at the bootfairs.

A new one - only discovered this week - make your own Hummus! A tin of chick peas, part of a jar of tahini, garlic, oil and lemon juice all into the food processor. You can alter the seasoning to suit your own taste and it is SO much cheaper.

Old yoghurt and margerine tubs are great for starting small plants in.

Rather than keep buying wax melts buy some bottles of essential oils. Then when the scent in the melt fades just add a few drops of the oil. Far cheaper than keep buying new melts.

this subject was was discussed by pupils at a local college back in the 60's.... no puters then, what a great time....anyway, i remember some of the best ideas that were fowarded.....split a match into 4, long ways , turn your engine off at the traffick lights, and the favourite one was save the bus fare to college and just stay in bed. bright these students eh!... they probably run big bussiness's now , or are bankers

Make a list and do your weeks shop on line .Even with a delivery charge you won't spend as much as you won't be tempted like you are in a shop.

I have a new Pergo floor and they will either sell you very expensive cleaner or tell you to just use amonia and water or vinegar and water. I use the vinegar for day to day and the amonia for the heavy cleaning day. Works GREAT!!! Granny
